There is no authentication treatment to cure mesothelioma according to expert doctor David Ride, MD  ( Associate Professor, Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center ). According to Dr. Ride, there are very few mesothelioma cases (around 3000) in the USA and thus sampling and research are difficult to find out treatment mechanism.  He also says that there are very few mesothelioma doctors and finding out the right doctor is of prime importance before going into treatment procedure.

Traditional Methods to Cure Mesothelioma

The following are a few traditional methods to increase the lifespan of the patients.

  • Radiation

Radiation therapy, or “ionizing radiation”, is to kill cancer cells and to limit the spread of cancer. For patients with mesothelioma, radiation therapy along with surgery.

Photodynamic therapy is a highly specialized and specific form of treatment that is most often used to treat skin cancers, some types of lung cancer, and pleural mesothelioma
